Delicious Waffles
Into a bowl, break three whole eggs. Add a table spoon of vegetable oil (or any oil of your choice, or affordability), add two table spoons of milk (any milk of your choice), add cake flour (or all purpose flour) a spoon at a time, until you reach the consistency that you desire;
- for a more liquid batter add less
- for a more rich and thick batter add a bit more
- if you are counting the calories, and do not which to eat a lot of carbs, add just two spoons of flour.
At about this time, turn the waffle's machine ON, to start warming up.
Mix the batter well with a hand whisk (or a fork, or a spoon), but do not overmix, then, when the machine is ready, pour a few spoons of batter into the waffle maker and cover to let the machine shape, and cook your waffle.
Keep an eye on the waffles, so that they do not burn.
Repeat until you have used all the batter.
Do not put too much batter in the metal thin, as it will overflow.
The shape is not important here.
What matters is that the waffle is cooked well.
My last waffle is always round and petite because it is made from the reminder of the batter, but I love it! I always save it for myself.
You can serve them with Chantilly, which is simply a posh name for whipped cream with added icing sugar to taste.
You can spread jam on them, top them with bacon and maple syrup, or just maple syrup, ice cream, slices of fresh fruit, peanut butter, etc. Add whatever you have around, or whatever you desire, and enjoy!
NOTE: if you cannot drink milk, just add water and the waffles will still be amazingly delicious! I do not add sugar to the batter because that would be increasing the amount of sugar unnecessarily. However if you like your waffles sweet, regardless of the toppings you will add to them; be it savoury or sweet, do add sugar to the batter.
