Healthy Porridge

Said to be one of the healthiest breakfast. Use the ones you can afford.

Add porridge oats to a pan, and cover with whatever milk you usually drink. How much milk? If you like it to be mash potato consistency, add the same amount of oats and milk. If you like it more loose and creamy, simply double the amount of milk. Take the pan to the stove and stir frequently until the milk starts to boil. Then, keep stirring for a couple of minutes until the oats are cooked. If you like it sweet, add a bit of sugar to taste, before removing from the stove, so that the sugar will dissolve. Pour onto a plate, or a mug, and sprinkle with cinnamon. This is how we like to eat it.

Alternatively:

  • add frozen berries, before removing from the hob,
  • add jam
  • add maple syrup, or honey,
  • add juice
  • etc...
  • it is your meal, so you can add whatever you desire and it will be perfect for you.
